Excellent capture. Great macro. I am going to go against the other comments and say this is a wasp. The reasons; the hind legs are to long for an ant and the wing structure seem more wasp like. The hind legs are what hang down during flight. I know that ants do fly when migrating with a new queen but I still do not think that it is an ant.

Very sharp, good composition and interesting picture. I think this is an ant, a male one. The males have wings to fly high to follow their queen in the sky. Great capture Rodney!

Did you get such a sharp photo shooting at 1/8? Amazing. It's an ant, I guess. They use wings to migrate.
