About A Cornish Megalith, as far as I could gather the exact reason for the Celts constructing these hundreds or thousands of years ago is not known for certain (please correct me if you can unravel the mystery!), but they seem quite amazing to me. Passed this one, right next to the side of the road, on our way to St Ives. That's the sea in the background - as you can see, it was very misty.

Interesting photograph & composed well. Much more recorded history there as opposed to here.
To Paul Watson, I remember that riddle from grammer school. The answer is 1.

"As I was going to St. Ives
I met a man with seven wives.
Every wife had seven sacks,
Every sack had seven cats,
Every cat had seven kits.
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives? "

I could not resist :-D Good shot Meg, like the composition and slightly subdued exposure. I can't decide if this is a megalith or a cairn though, cairn seems the better term. The subtle billowing clouds work well. All in all, a good shot.

Megan,

What a beautiful picture. The colour of the sky is great and the composition too. Lovely soft shadows. Defnitely a favourite of mine.

I love these kinds of structures. Great shot! I always wonder what the builders would think if knew that after all this time people around the globe were admiring a picture of their intriguing rock piles. I like how it stands out against the grass and sky. Nice composition, Meg!

Very nice colors and the placement is just right, a little off center. Very pretty area. Don.
