This is actually much better :) The fish eye lets me see the sky that I was straining for, and the tops of the trees. One comment though, your snow looks a little bluer in this shot, a red filter will do the trick to rid some of that blue. You can do it traditionally with a filter, or you can mask it in PS.
I'm glad to see that you're putting some effort in to setting these shots up, the time you spend makes a big difference.
