POF - I'll never ask again. Thank you for sharing. I went to our National college of Photography for a few weeks to get to know how to work on manual and to get the basics of photography. I still have so much to learn.I firmly belief that practise makes perfect.

Forgot to mention about the lens you used, one of my favourite Canon lenses. The 100mm macro can be very unforgiving and precise focusing is essential. Enjoy your photography, I sense that you will be a very quick learner  . Bye for now....Ray

Hi Anita.....pof is point of focus. You select the prime area for the focus and attain the sharpest point. By using a wide aperture on the lens you control the dof. Hope this helps you. Best wishes to you.....Ray
