About Australasian Gannet on a nest at the Pope's Eye colony, Port Phillip Bay, Victoria, Australia. This is a photo of one of the birds I studied for my Zoology Honours year project. Beautiful, but aggressive birds, couldn't get too close without being in danger of sharp bills. This was before I got my Pentax MX, I wish I had it then, though I am pretty happy with this photograph!

Very interesting bird. By the way, there are sa special kind of gannet which are breeding on White Island, north of Whakatane, New Zealand. Ever heard of'em ? ...

Yes Marco, I agree that the image shown here lacks some sharpness. I wish I had a better scanner, as the print looks fabulous and sharp! I've had a go with playing with it on PS, please let me know if this looks better. I've not had much practice with PhotoShop yet. Many thanks for your honest opinion.
