About	El edificio fué construido en 1862 para satisfacer un capricho de Francisco Ignacio Ossa, afortunado minero dedicado a la extracción y elaboración de salitre en Copiapó. Está inspirado en el arte mozárabe; se trajeron de España los azulejos, puertas y elementos decorativos. A medio construir lo compró un ministro de estado, Claudio Vicuña, quien lo alhajó con muebles de estilo árabe hechos en París. Actualmente es sede de la Sociedad Nacional de Bellas Artes.
