Fantastic long... long... long... exposure, this is something I have been meaning to try for a good while and haven't yet tried, it surelly can render superb results like the one achieved here.

Regards,

Rodrigo

Thanks for the comment Collin. The canon rebel xt has a long exposure noise reduction feature that works fairly well. If you can find polaris, the north star, you will get the circular formation. If you are facing west they will streak across the sky. This is one frame, I changed the white balance to give the rock its "daytime" look. The moon casts a rather cold light on things.

Great shot Richard. How did you reduce the noise in such a long exposure? I haven't taken a really successful star-trail since going digital. I'm surprised at how you got the rotation within the arch, all of mine streak across the frame. Is this one frame or a composite?
Regards,
Collin.

Wow, great shot, Richard! No other light source on the arch itself? I always did like these kinds of shots. Cheers and welcome to UF. Gary
