The US Army develpoed three Atomic Cannons in the early 50's. These guns can hurl an artillery shell with a nuclear warhead over twenty miles. In the early 60's, ballistic rockets made these weapons unpractical or obsolute. The photo of this gun never fired a round. It sits on a hilltop across Fort Riley, Kansas, which is in the background.
I like the idea of this shot, but I think it would have more impact if the shot was done closer and perhaps at an angle, and most likely cropping some out.
