Talk of the devil.... A cool shot with a 20D. Do you have any basic set up tips for me as to how to get such good skies and a good balance between both the sky and the ground and subject?

Great tonal qualities in the sky and the house. You have captured a rather intense feeling with this image. I am not sure about the use of selective color. I would look at desaturating the image equally. Very nice work.
