Hi Michele,

I have to go back to my lessons psychology to find out what "left brained" means, and that is way back.

Anyway, I think because conversation is not directly linked to the photos it is better to continue seperatlyfrom it.

My direct e-mail adress is ajhm.jacobs@home.nl

Looking forward to meet you !

Greetz,
Albert

Hi Albert ,

Sure happy to tell you about the 'rock' images...and pleased that you care.... I kind of told a bit about it in the 'About' section...
This is a beach I walk and watch the changes.
I was surprised to see how quickly there are so very many changes... with the sandy clay so soft it's only natural to dig in it, write on it, etc.

I know the clay and sand is a rich mixture that photographs well, and there is generally a very blue sky. I have an imagination that is confusing with reality sometimes ( not good) and it all seemed to be waiting for me.... I don't mean to sound flip, or smart, or confusing to you . I thought I could tell you how I see things but I guess this is as good as it gets....
Hope it helps or makes some sense for You ?

Thank you for the kind comments Albert.
I am left handed, left brained, and majored in art in school ... Is any of this helpful ???

Greetz,
Michele~

Hi Albert,

Michele here again.... Thank You for sharing your tips for getting the shots you want...

I am still learning step #3... I can relate to many of your techniques... especially the visualization... When I play billiards and I focus , and see the shot before I make it ...It works everytime. If I can't see it ( visualize it) I usually don't make the shot... does this make sense?

Anyway I do appreciate all of your time and sharing with me ways to make a good picture and a good picture a better picture !! To keep on learning is the key to success I do beleive.

All comments are greatly appreciated !!!
I wanted to rate your comment/ critique... but I am afraid it may wipe out my reply ... I am sorry I will give you good ratings on critiqueing always.

Best wishes,
Michele~

Hi Michele,

By accident I pushed the sending button to early.
So I continue with the last part of my reaction.

What I explained is what I have learned after a lot of years. I still like experimenting. For somebody else this process could be totally different.

Can you explain me, in regard of this how you have worked to achieve this beautiful serie of "rock"images. I am curious ? Feel please, no obligation, just want to learn.

I like the first and this image especially. In this one a clearly see a whole face 3/4 laying in the front. In the first photo I see a small nose with 2 eyes. This was very well seen by you and nicely put into a pretty endresult. Fine colors, good saturation and compositions. Compliments !

Greetz,
Albert

btw,
I noticed some people didn't understand, but Greetz simply means something like: goodbye, see you again.

Hello Michele,

I like this serie of "rock"images very much. They show you learned to look well. One of the most important skills for every photographer.

The second one depends on your personality and how you learn. For me it's to form a clear idea (image) in my head about how the endresult should look.

The third one for me is to learn (get) the skills I need to realise that endresult.

That doesn't exclude shooting by intuition. I use my intuition also oft, then it's a more integrated step 2 and 3 very fast after eachother.

Sometimes that offers possibilities and somtimes limitations to reach the endresult.

It's all about learning how you as an individual unique person learn. As a photographer you really need to explore this, because it enlarges possibilities.

For example my photo of the rust. I saw this already for a few days, found it a possible interesting object, but had no idea of the approach. So knowing the object wouldn't run away
I let it rest and now and then thouggt about it.

1. Why is this object interesting ?

2. What does that mean for the way I have to express it?

Is this something I can share with other people ?

How can I realize the endresult ?

Thank You Rashed . I am glad you lik it. I was happy for such a blue sky and the colors are not enhanced on the clay and sand cliff as well. It is a pretty place.
I have been enjoying your portraits very much as well.

Best wishes to you my friend, Michele~

Well composed and with good color saturation levels too.
