The lens flare doesn't bother me at all - the backlit effect is great - isn't the translucency of her toes just too precious - such a natural pose - the washed-out sky bothers me though, because I also battle with that - I like Pat's adjustment of the colour intensity - lovely image, Wouter!

Hi dear Wouter, I love Kids and I think everybody knows it! tis shot is really wonderful, the way this lovely girl looks and .... I think I'm in agree with Pat Ziegler, you've done 85% of the shot the best but I think it needs more vibrant color tones to show the feeling of a young lady's vibrance! I add some color changes to your post (I wish it doesn't bothering you anyway) using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1. Again, very well done, Mohammad

I really like your portfolio... particularly the portraits. There's something a little 'old-fashioned' (in a good way) about many of them. 2 words that sum them up for me are 'relaxed' & 'warm'.
Regards,
Bruce

The lens flare is no bother. You are correct. It is a pleasing element to this portrait. It accents the sunny day. The composition is dead on as well. THe old saying about photographing children, "You have to get down to their level. The contrast is what is bothering me. The washed out sky etc. the backlight works but in the future remenber th meter the sky and try a shot or two with it as your exposure reference. When doing portraits I always like to tweak the eyes just ever so slightly, a touch of sharpening to them alone and bring out the whites.
I'm nit picking but you did ask for a critique
