Karen,
As I looked through your folio I looked at each of your shots of "Diane". She is a lovely model. This one though, has to be my favorite of the series of her. The pose, the soft lights yet using the grainy film worked very well here. I am assuming you used the 1600 here also? The skin tones are great. I really like the highlighting on her hair, you have done a great job here. going in to my favorites
Later my friend,
Russ

Hi Karen: I have to agree with Jason. The pose does not look comfortable. In particular I find the models left hand and left arm look deformed or out of proportion. Overall it is nice work and I love your lighting.

Nicely done, the soft light look great, i don't have a problem with the pose, or her proportions, looks fine to me. Keep up the good work, Karen.

Dear Karen: Thank you for your comments on my work. I always appreciate the time members spend on my work. I will take your consideration of using a little less light in more of my work. Have you seen any of my other, more recent work? Please let me know what you think of Amanda in chair. Thanks Shyfox

Karen, another wonderful image. The lighting and the slightly soft focus are real assets to the atmospherics of this image. I don't agree with the earlier critique about the pose. I think it conveys a sensual, sphinx-like quality to Diane. Great work.
BTW, thanks for all your kind comments on my work. I hope you don't mind that I added you to my friends list. I just love following your work.

Its a nice shot however i feel the grainyness of the image takes away from the nice soft feel of a portrait like this. the more i look at the image the more it looks as though it could be a well done drawing.

I like the velvet texture of the background/dropcloth. It works well with the image. Great soft light, I like the pose and the model. Her apperral is perfect for the shot. I think this is a winner image. I'll bet she loves it. Shyfox

While I like the photograph, I am less impresed than others with the pose. The placement of the model somehow feels uncomfortable. I have been looking at the image for quite a while, and I believe it is the disappeaing torso mixed with the angle of the legs. the thighs and buttocks look large and disconnected, taking focus from the face. Do not misunderstand, the image is good, but the posing could be improved.
