Amanka, I'm not very astute with studio work, I didn't rate this, but I do want to say that the model is beautiful, and I like the eye perfection. It looks like some PS work with eyes and lighting, which I feel is necessary with most photo work. I obviously like it because I was drawn towards the image.

Picyure may be less than perfect but still a striking subject and beautiful eyes

If your aim was a perfect picture then I would say maybe everybody else is right! However, I believe in a NOT SO PERFECT way this image is quite interesting.

I'm with Phillip on this one. Great eyes though.

I don't see much detail in what is suppose to be s scarf of some type. It looks more like she's peeking through a black wall with some type of hold in it. I like her blue eyes, but the facial tones don't quite fit.

Not sure about it. I'd say use this model again, and throw some light onto all of it.

Surely, these eyes strike !! Ok, now is that all it takes for a "perfect" picture ? No. And I see a few things that are not perfect in my opinion.

1) The scarf falls on one eye and "eats" the lips. I don't think that's very good. I also feel the scarf falls overall slightly to low.

2) The light is strange on the face - not much volume and it looks fairly artificial. Was there any photoshopping done here maybe ?

3) The pimple is obviously not welcome and that's certainly worth a bit of photoshopping.

4) The edges of the scarf all around the face should be adjusted very carefully, for maximal elegance.

As a conclusion, I would say this: no matter how great a certain part of a picture is, it fails imo (partly) if there are too many imperfections around. In studio, I've learned to look mostly at what's wrong, not too much at what's right... It helped me quite a bit. The danger is to be fascinated by the subject. Once we lose this fascination, I think we can assess the good and the bad better. Best regards.
