About Bodiam Castle, East Sussex England. Tucked away in a secret valley, virtually...A rare antiquity, a moated castle with an intact exterior. Built in 1385 to keep out the French, conquered during the English civil war, now a National Trust property, I expect the French have less trouble getting in these days

I have a photo of this from when I was about 10! Its a beautiful place, & I think you've caught it well.
I would be tempted to clone out completely the tree top-left.

Wonderful view of this castle. I really like the saturated colours and the three dimensional wrap around light. I particularily like the foreground and think it would be a mistake to crop the grasses out. The tree branch on the upper left on the other hand, I find a bit heavy handed compositionally and suggest it would be better if it didn't come so close to touching the corner of the castle. That said, it also adds to the 3D feeling which makes this picture stand out from thousands of others which I'm sure have been taken of this subject.

Hello Andrew, this is a very pleasing composition with rich colours, an old castle, water...
The image may benefit from some cropping of the near FG (don't think you need the faint grass), and the image could stand a little brightening. Try and see if you like that better?
