I'm looking for help to get the emotional appeal. I am told that my work lacks emotional involvement and I'm looking for any advice to make abstracts more involving. Thanks for all the help.
I think I understand why people tell you this. I visited your portfolio before writing this comment. You have chosen a very difficult field in which to achieve emotional involvement with the viewer. Our emotions are much more easily engaged when there are human figures or situations to which we can relate. For instance, your "cultur5 clash" photograph is much more immediately appealing, although technically it is not as polished as some of your more abstract photographs. I think you need to ask yourself why you chose this difficult route to addressing peoples' emotions before you question your ability to do so! As photographs, they are technically very good, and they appeal to me, but it is at a very cerebral (intellectual) level. If you could be satisfied with that, you are already very successful!
Nice work! I think the focus would be better at infront bottom and thus would make good effect to feel the volume of this substance. The colors are very beautiful.
