Love the soft lush greens in this photo. Ferns make a great subject to photograph with good pattern and lush colours. Something I hope to shoot myself soon. Nice work regards Greg

beautiful area of CA that I pass through when I head up to the bay area.
This shot reminds me a little of a place that I hope to go to take pictures someday - Tuscany, Italy

This turned out great Anne, but I know what you are talking about. I have been trying to capture a bridge for weeks now. I have taken at least 50 shots and none are quite right yet. Your bridge has a lovely golden glow, the water is an amazing blue and lovely surrounding textured and deep green landscape. Beautiful capture.

I love these areas with snow, I saw Bryce and Zion with snow, it was beautiful!
This is really a neat scene and very well photographed, VERY NICE composition!

I was trying to time that trip so it would be warmer but still had snow on the ground, since I've only been up in this part of the park in the fall before. Since that lake is at around 9,000' it's a lot colder than the valley. That day it was colder than normal because of the storm. Imagine my surprise to be caught in a snow flurry while I was up there! It was even chilly in the Valley that day.

The road up here (Hwy 120) was still closed when you were there in April--it didn't open until May 14, which was one of the earlier openings. It has stayed closed until as long as July if the spring is too cold for the snow to melt.
When you go in the fall, this is definitely a must for your trip--there are so many wonderful vistas up here, and many excellent hiking trails.

Anne, great shot, good vomposition and the clouds do make a strong impact to the image. I wouldn't have guessed it would still be that cold im May, cause as you know in April in the Valley it was 80 degrees
