I like the crop on this photograph - however, i'm not keen on the grain - a little would be good - i find it loses appeal being too grainy - but that is a personal preference. Great looking model - very intriguing

I like the lighting you used on this shot - the reflection of the single light in your subjects eyes and the shadows - very dramatic.

This is a beautiful shot Luca - i'm curious if you used any photoshop aid in getting the sky all that colour, a partial filter or if it is au natural - either way it is beautiful

great job! Kelly

Great shot Jorge, it reminds me of a part of highway here in British Columbia that we call the Fraser Canyon. I enjoy the depths of the mountains in the background.

This is a great shot Robert - a true Seaman - as we all remember as kids - something like Captain Highliner - white beard, hat, golden tooth - You captured something here. The photo looks a bit grainy - however - it adds character and age to an ageless photo.

Great Job

Beautiful Capture Gunter - I like the angle you took it at, showing the reflection of the sun on the wall. The mist/fading clouds adds mystery to the shot!

Excellent photograph Gaetan- you are very fortunate to live near or in such a beautiful city as Quebec City! Your photograph of the fog over the St. Laurent river is almost haunting - but in a good way... keep up the great work!

Excellent Photo!... I love the fall leaves framing the Chateau.. however, I find the lamp post at the bottom middle right of the photo with the yellow "flag" distracting - it tends to pull my eye away from the chateau and the leaves. Perhaps editing it out through a photo program will enhance an already beautiful photo.

you're right - focus is not always important... your photograph gives us that sense of all of our 1st steps - being out of focus gives it that sense of motion that taking your 1st steps bring.. it would've been nice to see better your little one's facial expression - he/she looks a little apprehensive! thanks for sharing.. what does he/she think 10 years later?

Hi Kelly - great capture of their personality - My only suggestion would to keep in mind the rule of thirds - although the background is nice - moving your subjects slightly to your right might have been more dramatic - the tree wouldn't be so distracting behind the girl's head... you might have been better to use the tree as a framing object rather than a background. or try leaning your subjects to the side of the tree so you're taking a side view picture of them.
for a beginner you have a great eye and well on the way - keep up the great work!

Hi Kelly - I like your composition on this photo - very natural - very intimate between mother and son (?) - Unfortunately I think you had your camera on autofocus which has left the little guy slightly blurry and the leaves in the background in perfect focus... I would also suggest having not cut off the women's elbow. It is great to use natural light like you did - however, it perhaps is a little too harsh on the women's face and on the young fella's head- you can see a definite ridge in his haircut which distracts looking at the shot a bit. However, you've got a great eye - keep up the good work!

Excellent work - the lighting is beautiful and an excellent job in keeping the composition in focuse - expecially with the lighting conditions. Wonderful job - Best of luck in your photography!
