About: I have enjoyed Photography since I won my first camera as a Paperboy. Yup, good ole Brownie Hawkeye. I was hooked, mainly by the fact that photos had the ability to stop time. Many years later I joined a photography club and was encouraged to apply for a scholarship to Winona International School. I had upgraded to a used N8008. I was delighted when I was accepted and studied under Master Photographer Frank Cricchio. He taught me Portraiture and Lighting. At 48 yrs old my Wife Karol encouraged me to pursue my dream of turning "Pro". So I plunged myself into it and with the help of my local Nikon Dealer, I soon had my Summer booked with; Portfolios,Weddings. Motorcycle Clubs, Races, Then Family Portraits, children, commercial work. Amazingly I still wasn't starving! Later we moved to Kentucky, and I began to shoot Phone book Covers with my Hassy. I became a "stringer" for the Richmond Ky Register and made the Front Page with a shot of a Mass Murderer being arrested. Berea College became interested in my work and hired me to teach Basic Photography. I ended up shooting the Senior Class yearbook Pictures, as well as various assignments. Meanwhile I was still shooting for the newspaper, got assigned to shoot a Soccer Game. (My first) My soccer photo won an Honorable Mention and considerable praise from the Kentucky Press Assoc. I'm thinking Somebody up there likes me! Dreams come true!
