About	Pyramid Lake is located about 33mi N.E. of Reno, Nevada on the Paiute Indian Reservation. Legend has it that an indian mother had several children, but they could not get along together. The mother was so distraught about this and wept continuously until her tears created Pyramid Lake. She remained there, weeping, so long that her body eventually turned to stone.
