Hi John, Thanks for clarifying the question I had! Wow, this is even more than I imagined. I somehow thought it was a camera? It just shows you I've never seen the barrel of a pistol. Really powerful images, fantastic idea and execution (no pun intended) :) Ina

Hello Ina. Hope you are having a good day. Thanks for the comment. This image depicts the barrel of a .45 pistol. As the images move from left to right, you can see the rifleing inside the barrel and then the hollow point head of the bullet. I attempted to create this as the bullet would travel down the barrel. This was acheived by using a small pen light and changing the point of focus ever so slightly. For safety the firing pin was remove so I could view directly down the hazard end of the gun. This project took several shots and many lighting positions. You were right on saying the red is death as it signifies the last image from the trauma.

Thanks again for the question.

Hi John, I find your collage very interesting and the title very intrigueing, but I can't figure out what that apparatus is (the first 4 pictures). I think this could be the reason why not many have commented. I see the relationship between the images slowly diminishing and disappearing, as if someone is dying (last red blank square) - and I find the resolution just fine. The conceptual part is great, the technical part is great, the graphics are wonderful, for me it's just that question of "what is it" - a camera? Best regards, Ina

Hey John
Coming across your original collage again, am amazed that no one commented on it!
I think it?s so good to be in here, I believe some people just too lazy to think, or try to understand the idea beyond a certain image.
They simply prefer straight forward shots,
that are easy to get.

whata shame... !

Good Luck fellow,

Z.S

Thanks for the comment ZS. I spent a great deal of time getting this just right only to loose the detail in posting. I also changed the title a number of times attempting to be vague at first. There were a number of viewings but no one made comments. This to me is one of my best ones, but you never know what people think - and what you see as vision can be complete darkness to someone else.

Best regards.

John
