Yes graffiti on trees is a shame but it's there and makes for interesting textures on the photo. It would have been just as nice without the graffiti though. Great composition in this one Don. I like the blue sky peeking through the trees and the soft shadows on the ground. Nice image. Cheers - Ann :)

Ohhh, I just HATE to see carvings in the trees.
It just makes me so sad.....and they are such pretty trees.
