About For Bryan Miller found again in this site after some weeks and to Jelly (Giovanni Sinico) because .... the owner of the Nikkor 300mm lens :)

Hope the tones are correct anyway :

4x5" FP4+
extra extended bellow (as Bryan suggestion)
Frontal tilt in order to have an horizontal focus plane
Yellow filter + polarizer
Developed in PMK (Pyro) in N+1

The idea was to enphatize the drawing of the seewead on the water surface (with the yellow filter and the polarizer) keeping a black deep water effect and pushing the high light of the branch to an higher level than the scene (from 7 to 8).

Beh,

salutoni

thank you for the 'how to' -- very good lesson.

I love the seaweed pattern... so much that maybe it would be interesting to only see that with this great branch (similar to your crop but with more seaweed). what do you think?

maybe even print on a hard grade paper to bring the pattern out more??

In this crop you can see the effect of the push (also if the quality is limited by the media).

Print is available in 40x50cm (you can see it in Marghera Photofestival from 26/11 ;) )
