I agree with you about how the ripples help balance the shot, but I can also understand what Tushit is saying. In my opinion, it is either the green grass in the foreground or the blue feathers of the 'mother' duck. Both of them could be 'desaturated' to help bring the attention back to the cute little duckling.
Apart from that, again you have taken a wonderful shot - I especially like the minute detail of the water droplets on its back, well captured!

I believe this shot has been composed well, Nadia. I love the tiny droplets on the duckling, just that minute detail that adds to the picture.
The ripples in my opinion, do help balance the photo although I can understand what Tushit is saying. It could probably be due to the blue feathers of the 'mother' duck drawing attention away from the little duckling. Other than that, you have once again taken a great shot.
Looking forward to more photos once you have finished all your study, Michael

Cute is the word Nadia :-)
The very first thing that came to my mind when I saw the thumbnail was ripples and the fact that they balanced the shot out, so I agree with your Sister. I don't get drawn away from the chick, I think the shot is as balanced as it can get, well done, and once again - CUTE!!!
Hope to see more shots when your study allows, thanks for your comment on my flowers :-)

IMO there is something in the picture which draws attention away from the chick. But the photograph is very well taken and it definitely brings a smile to my face.
