I like the objects sitting on the plain surface and viewed from above. The lighting makes some soft and interesting shadows. The detail of the printing on the cork is interesting also. I agree with the comment that it might be better to show the whole glass. You woudl want to arrange the objects so as not to show the endge of the table, I think. The view from above and the short focal length give is an interesting idea, and showing the wine in the glass (rather than looking through the glass) is a good idea also. The shooting angle makes background distractions less of a concern. Good still life, good eye. Keep shooting these!

Thanks Jim for your comments. This was really my first attempt at a "still life" of this kind. i was looking to do a "different" angle than most, focusing more on the Wine inside rather than the bottle or the glass. I am happy you like what you see in my portfolio, i am learning and experimenting.

I like your concept here. However, I would have liked to see the top of both the glass and the bottle. I realize you were probably cropping out undesirable background. perhaps you could have rearranged the table.
You have some great shots in your portfolio, I particularly like Key to my Soul and Glasses. Keep on shootin'
