About This is my first still-life with my Nikon. Tripod and a flashlight (torch). I ramped up the ISO to 1000 and shot in RAW. 30 seconds exposure f/22 70mm focal length.

Thank you Golnaz and Endre. I was pleased with my first attempt and frankly surprised. At that ISO a bit of noise was evident which I got rid of using noise filtering - perhaps too much - but then this is a hybrid photoart/abstract/normal piece in my view. I appreciate your comments greatly!

Thanks for the lengthy explanation of RAW. Here's a simple one: RAW is like a raw egg - you can do anything with it. Jpegs are already cooked. Well, I'm not sure... it must be dinner time!

Ina my friend and inspiration! Don't think I didn't see your bloody brilliant new pics of those bottles! I've been busy experimenting with still-life and fiddling with camera setups AND there's a monsoon going on outside. I like to choose my words carefully on images of YOURS, because they deserve it, so watch this space...
