no I didnt know if it would use one. I sure would like to have one though. I just got mine a couple of months ago before that I a nikon 5700 which I got most of my pic with but it is quite slow. I dont seem to have much time this summer but maybe can get more time this winter when the yard work stops. I also want to take classes if I can. I totally am lost when it comes to understanding the book. I will keep picking your brains. If you want this off of here my email address is brandywine123@hotmail.com be sure and tell me who you are so I dont delete it?
How long have you had your camera? I see in your portfolio the first shot you have posted is dated July 14th. Did you just get the D70? It is a very complex camera and there is much to learn. Don't be too hard on your self or your progress. I got my D70s the first week or so in June and I am just beginning to feel somewhat like I know what I am doing with it.
Before my Nikon, I had a Kodak point and shoot camera and I felt pretty frustrated the first few weeks that I couldn't take as good a photos with the Nikon as I cold with the Kodak, but it's like anything the more sophisticated it is, the longer the learning curve.
You've got some very nice shots in your portfolio. Keep working at it. Keep asking questions. Keep posting photos. Keep trying new things and before too long you will be doing amazing things with your camera and nice lens. Do you have a remote control for your D70? I really like mine. It only cost about $20 and my hummingbird shots are usually taken with the camera set up outside and me using the remote to trigger the shutter.
The next thing I want to do with it is to set it up by my bird bath and get some nice closeups of birds splashing in the water. Anyway, some ideas to think about. Keep trying, you'll get there.
