When you write "pictures of our members" who do you have in mind, my friend. I ask because the photo does not resemble the painting of your face on your page.
Be that as it may, the exoression of the person in the photo (you?) shows the tension of waiting very clearly and that makes it, among other things, an excellent (auto?) portrait.

Tough emotions. I see a straight look at an old partner with vulnerability and honesty which is rare enough in real life. No schmaltz in your treatment here. No romance. Really good communicating.
The intriguing technical thing to me is how the specs in the paint work have remained in the ooomphed colour. Hyper real.
