WOW!!
Darlene, this is an AWESOME photograph of this Egret. It is PERFECT, lovely composition and again the perfect time of day.
I've made this one a favorite. And I'm really drooling over that lense of yours. My husband and I both are bird nuts.
Beautiful photography, Lori ;)

There's still lots of birds there Joe. The cattle egrets and their "big kids," there are a few white ibis that look like they're g oing to nest there, and of course the owls. The spoonbill chicks are huge but there are a lot of them flying around, and the black crowned night heron big chicks are everywhere! Maybe you'll get back before they leave.....let me know, I 'd like to see you again. Darlene

wow Darlene you really have built a beautiful portfolio of outstanding shots, this one is no exception, there seems to be a good selection of subjects there in Louisiana, can you send some over to calif as its really dead here now, many bird expected to be here by now have not shown up :( .... Keep them coming, I love what I see...

Hello my friend! this is great capture - love details here and the pose of the bird - it looks as it was preparing to take off at the moment you took the shot! the only little thing I miss here is warm, soft light which could light up the bird a little bit (I know that this was hardly possible in that condition but) :-) keep going and I am waiting for more pictures from you. cheers Lukasz
