Hi Ellen.

...For a site like this that limits the resolution to 800X600, I dont think a difference with the resolution will be noticed. But it will allow me to print it on an A3 page.

I used a flash without a tripod. For this kind of shot, the fly would be long gone once the tripod would have been set up properly. A flash also freezes motion nicely and allows you to use a low ISO handheld, but you can sometimes loose nice background blur due to the light falloff in the distant background.

Well I can't hardly wait. I thought this was about the max on the minimum? Oh did you use a tripod? I would love to shoot something similar but I never seen to be able to recreate the right conditions.
Thanks.

Thanks, Ellen. I actually cropped it quite a lot to "zoom" in more. Fortunatelty, the lens captured supurb sharpness to start with, and didn't loose anything by cropping... I plan to later try more with a closeup filter on my macro to get an even better zoom ratio without loosing so much resolution...

This is an amazing shot, Bryan. The golden color is incredible intense and the details on the fly are excellent sharp. Wonderful!
