About This is just a pleasant reminder for those of us living in this part of the world of how pleasant it was here just last month. Have hit the triple digit temperatures here for the last few weeks. Sure miss spring.

Peta - I haven't graduated to the Sigma yet. Need to get a macro lens for it - and haven't been anywhere to take advantage of the lovely landscapes that can be taken with it. I'll get there. Meanwhile I am still using "old trusty." Thank for for your comment. I am trying to put more thought into my shots and not just do the same old thing all the time. Jan

Summer for you, and today is our first day of Winter! Oh well. I just checked in to see how your graduation to the Sigma is going?

This is really pretty by the way! Your compositions are becoming more and more creative.

What part of Texas Evelyn? Bet it isn't as dry a heat as here. Not sure if I want to go back to the humidity - Liven in San Antonio almost 9 years total - also Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Atlanta, GA and whew - wet, wet - but good for your skin! Jan

Ken - Thank you for the nice comments on my portfolio. I started out by printing out a bunch of my floral photos to design in to a quilt. Then I rememberd your photo floral bouquet that you dedicated to Margaret Sturgess, decided that it would be perfect as my "centerfold" so to speak, and e-mailed you through usefilm. This is all a new direction for me, as I haven't done a quilt yet where you put photos on fabric and then piece them in to a quilt. Got to thinking as you can do memory quilts having pictures of people or whatever - why shouldn't I do a memory quilt of the lovely flowers I have received or have grown? Will keep you posted. Jan

My goodness, Janice ! You are one 'flowery' woman !!!!!.

I just been through your portifolio - such magnificent flowers everywhere !!!! Wonderful indeed.

And you want my one ordinary flower shot for your project !!!!! When you have so many lovely ones in your backyard .....

Well, I am bemused.

Good luck anyway.

regards,
ken.

Great detail, Janice. The center is so clear. I like the other flower joining in from the top right.

SOOoo pretty in pink. You sure get super detail in the center of this flower! And yeah -- we have been way up there in the temps too, here is Texas ;)
