Hanggan you capture reality beautifully...It's good to be reminded that we don't all have the same advantages, and that some of us are more misfortunate than others, that not all of us live with beautiful surroundings..Your images are a wonderful example to me...I tend to look for beauty and you remind me that one persons beauty isn't anothers, and I think it's something we all need to be mindful of..well done my friend...Hugs...:):)Linda

Dear Mary,
I'm sorry I forgot to mentioned the description.
Those are old machines inside an old opened storage inside Sunda Kelapa harbour, Jakarta. I am not sure what the functions are, but their position makes me somehow imagine a couple taking their time. Thank you for your comment, my friend..:)

Dear David,
After adjusting contrast with curve feature, I convert this picture into BW using channel mixer, and adjusting each color's slide to get my desired BW. Afterwards, I'd play with dodging and burning to enhance local contrast. Finally, adding tone using color balance to add the mood.

The life of homeless people is very hard.
Your photograph really portraits the devasting and depressing environment endured by this individual. (I think that it is a person sleeping under the cover).
