Stunning portrait. Lovely expression and lighting. I'd prefer the lips to be monochrome though, as I think the tinting detracts slightly from the strength of this image. Perhaps a touch less sharpening too, as there seems to be some pixelation of the hair. I really like this shot a lot but feel the post processing has been slightly overdone.

Hello Tanya, I prefer this version over the Pout 2 as your left cheek has more detail. The expression & lighting is great, I checked out your photos & found your other self portrait of you lying in your back (Hair Down) with your Pentax an interesting perspective. Pretty good shooting, best wishes & have a great summer.

Hmmm...
Maybe I like this one better. Your face is lighter maybe? and the picture is a little softer than pout ii?

Excellent expressive self-portrait. I think the lip colour which has become rather a cliché and therefore weakens the impact - it would be stronger in pure monochrome with the lips just a bit contrastier for dramatic effect (and the hair slightly less sharp). Just my humble opinion, of course.
Best wishes, Jonathan

This is a superb "edgy" B+W portrait, which I imagine was your intent. As a classic fashion shot, perhaps the colouring and sharpening are not to everyone's taste, but for what it is ...it is brilliant. Congrats, and by the way from your bio you actually seem quite normal for the art world. I on the other hand, need to make sure all my hangers point in the same direction!!!!

Excellent use of light for this portrait. Lovely pout. I like the pink lips with the black and white.

Tanya:
A very expressive portrait. Well placed in the frame and a great facial capture. If this is a self portrait then you are to be congratulated for getting it to work out this well.

i like the lighting and expression but i think it would look a lot better just as a b/w and without the color in the eyes and lips Regards Jorge

I like the pose, crop, composition, light and the great pouted expression. However would be intereting to see without the over sharpening and noise. The de saturation has worked very well here. Also maybe there is a slight tonal difference in the two eyes as well. Well done.

Quite a brilliant photo, Tanya - wonderful use of light, and the low level of saturation is perfect.
