Sorry for the delay Mike. Thanks for the keen interest on the subject. The monkey in picture is the Common Langur (Presbytis entullus is the scientific name). The name Langur comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "long tail". The animal's scientific name is a revealing example of how biological classification often refers either to the appearance of the species or its behavioural characteristic or both. The greek word presbytis means "old lady", while the the Latin proper name Entellus is an allusion to an aging boxer in an ancient Roman epic, whose strength and endurance helped him defeat a much younger rival. The allusion correctly depicts the remarkable strength of a common langur for its size.
And no Mike, I would never dream of doing anything to capture the attention - the little darling was just curious and I gor lucky ! I am attaching the cropped version.

That is a gorgeous photo, did you do anything to capture the little ones attention or was he just curious? The detail of the (what type of) Monkeys is mostly great but is the little ones tail blurred? or is it my eyes? I would be interested in seeing a cropped version of the centre square.
