About This was taken last weekend at San Juan Capistrano. I noticed that a lot of architectural photo I take are of doors and windows. Pretty much all the edited photos that I took that day are of that subject. I shot digital and then converted to B/W and added the dreamy effect on the computer. I'd be interested in your opinions on the subject matter and the effect. Regards, Paul

That is exactly the effect I was going for. I lost touch with reality years ago so I figured my photos should too :-)

Thanks for the comment, Paul.

The composition is very interesting, it makes a fine abstract; no need to alter it. However, I like the effect, it could certainly be used to illustrate a mood. It is a bit nightmarish, like things are starting to melt/breakdown, lose touch with reality.

Thanks, your opinion is exactly what I wanted. I'm not a big fan of "Effects". Basically I was throwing this out there to get a reaction.

San Juan Capistrano is a beuatiful mission-- and a great subject.

I love what you did with this. The photo itself is well composed, changing it to b&w and adding the "dream" effect works really well. It indeed does give the photo a dreamlike quality-- bordering on a nightmarish one (I have some weird dreams!!). Really well done. Thanks for sharing it!
