About Inspired by the great teachings of Dan Lightner. Im still refining the technique but thought I would share my progression with you all. One thing that is a problem is using an "point and shoot" autofocus camera, the AF hunts all over the place and 9 times out of 10 just won't focus on the water drops!!!

Yes they balloons, they were the most colourful thing I could lay my hands on. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Brian. I recently purchased a bigger piece of glass so I can use bigger backgrounds underneath as you suggested. Ill post one once I have taken some more. I agree about the cliché but as you also point out the idea may get cliched but the execution does not.

I appreciate you taking time to comment.

James, this is an awesom photo - an great effect, and lovely colours and patterns. I also like to take photos of objects behing water drops. Its possibly becoming a bit cliche, but the way it gets done can always be origonal (like this example). I can see that the baloons(?) look like they are actually on a sheet of paper - could be interesting to try a larger sheet or other surface as well... Well done.
