Actually, it was last November. BUT, there was Major photoshop work done to it. The sky is actually from another photo and I removed all the houses.
I replied to Robert with all the info that I know (or researched) about it. If anyone's got more information please let me know.

No, this is not a medeival space ship!!! :-)
About 4 miles south of Laguna Beach in California is Victoria Beach.
From what I understand it's a stairway from the estate above to the beach.
Research that I've done suggests it was build by either Senator Brown or the Frank Miller family and it was recently owned by Bette Midler.

you're in my neck of the woods. ;) nice job framing it not to get the homes on the cliff. great clouds in the sky. i'm going to take a guess that you got this over the past few days?
robert, i'm not exactly sure if its original use. there is (or was) a staircase in it that goes to the cliff top. right in front of it is an old concrete ring that used to be a salt water pool.
