Not too often, a shortage of food drove them south out of canada and the was a concentration near my home. after 5 weekends of long distance shooting , I got a run of shots closeup with great light. thanks for your comment

Den , Distance, well I was about 15 meters I would guess. The talkoff shot is of the same owl from that tree.

Great shot Jim! He's looking right at me! I kinda like the overcast sky; no distracting clouds. How long did it take to find this guy? I walk through the woods and can't seem to find any wildlife. Maybe I'm just too noisy. Regards, ---Duane---
