Thanks, Mike, for the comments. This is another digital shot from my Canon D30. Shot at ISO 1600 setting in The Jazz Club, Hong Kong (a small club that seats about 80 people with just a few large cans with gels for lighting.
For 1600 speed, try Ektachrome P1600 - see the shots of my two cats taken at the end of a roll of this film (natural window lighting - no artificial lights) that I had been using for some stage shots of a local band (see my web site under "Photography" and "The Sisters of Sharon") at a live Awards gig. Great shot. The facial expressions are very pleasing. Nice grain for 1600 speed (alot nicer then when i shot kodak 800 @ 800 speed). If this is Provia 400 pushed...i'd be pleasently supprised. Probably about half of all the pictures I take are of Bands...so i know that it's not always easy getting a good shot.
