Ismael. Originally I didn't have any frame...but I had to drop the compression really low as it was, that I had no choice but to add a frame to keep the image as best quality as I could...or make the image really small.

Hi Judi, I like the image very much. You have an eye for composition and color. Well done. As to the presentation, I have been thinking about it much lately... When I saw this image as a thunbnail, it looked washed out - mostly due to the blending of the edges with the white background here on usefilm. Framed, this shot has more impact (IMHO). The reduction of size and compression needed here is also a point of dismay at times. Some images are more vulnerable to the compression than others. I'm still searching for the best all around approach to compression and 'matting' for web presentation... Cheers! Sam

I know exactly what you are saying. Without the border, this image at 800 x 600 sat at over 860kbs. So you can imagine how far down I had to push it. Grrr...! I added on the border in the end to try and keep it up a little bit.

It's all those rich colors. Nicely done Judi. The pixilation is not that bad from my viewpoint. A little bit in the blue sky. I hate it when you have a good pic that should be saved at 5 or 600 and you need to go down to 360 to upload to usefilm. Oh well:)

This happens to me all the time dear, Don't worry about it, It came out just fine, actually if you didn't mention the pixelation, i wouldn't reyalise it.

I permanently keep the UV filter on my camera. Not only does it stop the glare but it also protects the lens. A filter is cheaper than a lens to replace. The poloarizer is lots of fun to use and can really add some oomph to your images. Try some out and find your style with it.

O' wonderful picture, great colours, sharp, clear, very nice composition. Judi, alone with my camera, I like to carry a pencil in his pocket, and a small sketchbook to write down the thoughts of the moment. Those that come unsought are commonly the most valuable, and should be secured, because they seldom return. take good notes, because your work is getting very good.
