Aboriginal dance troop, circular quay in Sydney. These guys perform regularly at the Quay, and they pull out all the stops when it comes to posing for the cameras. This shot is unposed, though, it was done in the middle of the dance. They come right out to the crowd, and put in a great effort to let people from all over the world get an insight into their culture, using a modern blend of traditional aboriginal music, with a Techno backbeat. f4.5, 1/320, iso200
I think I remember hearing that when the first Western settlers saw a "Kangaroo" they asked a Aborigine what was the name of the animal. But as the Aborigine didn't speak english his reply was really something like "I have no idea what you are saying" Phonetically "Kangaroo". Any truth to this?
