A friend, who is also my printer and framer, makes some really nice stuff with glass, etchings, mirros etc. He wanted this for his catalog. I really liked the item, but was having a tough time making it interesting, keeping the image from skewing, and most importantly, keeping my big face out ot the scene! Layed it on out on it's back on black velvet with the 9 foot textured, plaster ceilng as a reflection. One umbrella from each side, a gold one on hte left and a third stobe shot at the ceiling which added to the center vignetting. All that and a spin in PS came up with thtis.
Alot of effort and preplanning went into this shot Cary, and like you say it's hard to make interesting something so plain but I think you have done it justice. I think the final image looks like the eye of some beast, it really stares back at the viwer, which conidering it is a mirror, I like the irony of it all. Nice work.
