Thanks, Ankur - good points. I had actually tried focusing on a different book, and didn't like the result. I may have another go. You are absolutely right about the shelf in the top right corner - I should have removed that... Only just noticed it!

Nice shot Ferdinand. The light and shade has come out amazing.
However, I would have liked the focus to be on the 4th-5th book..so that the initial few would also be out of focus. would have created a better effect.
additionally, do something about the line on the top right. distracting!
else, all is good. wonderful colors.

Ferinand, I really like this. The lighting and darkness of it. Gives it a mysterious feel to it. Maybe a scholastic feel. Either way , I like it.
