Great macro shot! Love the colors on these lichens. The ones I see more often are blue-grey. These are very pretty.

Fantastic DoF! Very gradual blurring of the foreground to background looks beautiful!
Also excelent colors and the composition!

Thanks Tamara.
This was taken outdoors in natural light on the branch of a bushlike vegatation (no direct sunlight, so no big choice on DOF ..

I have the idea to build a inhouse mini-studio with halogen spots, to try photographing this under more controlled conditions..

Regards, Peter

This is really wonderful. I love the detail and the limited DOF. I would actually have liked for a slight bit more DOF, but only a miniscule amount, because I think the blurry background is what helps to really show off the foreground.

There's also a bit of blurry something (another rock?) right in the foreground that I think you could crop out...

I really like the contrast between the yellowish moss and the dark blue/grey stone that it is on. Did you photograph this outdoors with real sunlight, or was this taken indoors?
