Lea, Almost a 2 dimensional bird, with the lack of light on one side, making it a little on the mind straining side, in a good way. It makes you look, search even, to figure out where the rest of the bird has gone.
The eye and beak region grabs the eye, and the outstretched neck leads the eye to an incongruous area that, at initial glance, is only half there. (Or maybe my monitor is a tad dark :) Great shot.
Hi Lea, excellent work very nice geometry! I was thinking maybe if you cut a little bit of the left or/and right side of the photo might make the birdt look even stronger?
