I know this little more than a 'shapshot', but I'm honored to be able to call these two folks 'friends': Dick Van Dyke and Timothy Albee.
Dick, many of you may recognize from many film and television appearances, is a customer of NewTek's, and truly excited by what he can do with video editing and 3D animation in his own home using VT[4].
Timothy Albee epitomizes the artists dream: to do it all. By himself. And I mean ALL. Timothy wrote a 25-minute short, then from his cabin in the Alaska woods, he animated the entire thing in LightWave 3D, scored it, recorded the music, all the voices, and then edited it in VT[4].

Dick is one of the MOST down-to-earth people you could ever meet. He wants me to come out to his house in Malibu and teach him advanced technique with our editing software, but I haven't been able to find the time...yet.
