Poor man's macro - a low end digital camera (3MP Canon A75) + lens assembly taken from a broken 50mm f/2.8 film camera lens + homemade plastic adapter + homemade flash 'guide' (without it the built in flash is useless for macro photography). I have spent a total of $150 on this setup ($150 for the camera and $0 for the homemade macro equipment)! This image is straight from the camera (full frame, no postprocessing other then resize). The flower is tiny. Full frame coverage with this setup is only 15x9mm! Even though I am a complete beginner in photography, I hope to show that you can get usable (super)macro shots using a really low-cost equipment. Go and experiment! It's really fun! :)
