About Trying out some of my past postings that were in color in B/W.
I just love the combination of textures in this photo, brought out even more in the absents of color.

Thanks for your response Tim. I sometimes shoot colour, and have tried several methods for the B+W conversion. I keep coming back to the Greyscale method myself. I can see no benefit to the other, more complicated ways of conversion. I think I will be buying the D70 soon. Any further advice????

Hi Richard,
in responce to your Photoshop question...i keep it simple and go to Image/Mode/greyscale ... then just fool with levels and a combination of brightness and contrast till it has the drama i like.
As to the D70 ..i can't complain i have just gone over the 10,000 photo mark since buying it in Aug/04 and have been SO PLEASED with it!!!

Fantastic work!!!! Great composition and textures. What photoshop techniques did you use for the conversion????? I currently shoot with an F80 and Tri-X, but I need a digital for work and I am thinking of a D70.

Wonderful perspective, as well as textures. Especially good work capturing those textures right across the photo.
