Thanks for your comment on my photo and this is a beautiful, but dramatic view of our beloved windmills. But I'm glad it will be rebuild again.

I can only post one a day, so wait a day and you will see the zoomed version.

Hi Frank, a gruesome, but fantastically powerful image. The carcass of the windmill against the sky is just awesome. A very sad story to see the Dutch heritidge crumble down to ashes. Nonetheless a top Notch shot. Another solution might be to zoom in a bit more, which would focus the view more on the burned down mill, but that's a matter of choice, and rather unimportant here.

Cheers,

Hugo

Chris, for me too, see my other pictures and the remark here, I was lucky to make some pictures before the fire.
(and this mill will be rebuild)

I was lucky to make a picture of the same mill a month ago, it's available on this site in my portfolio too.

Too bad, windmills create a similiar feeling in me as what Mark said.

when I think of windmills there is a sense of eternity to them. I think every picture I have ever seen has been a shot of them, in historically perfect condition to add to it. This is the first time I've ever seen one departed. thank you
