Mitchell your images are true works of art.
I do agree about the lighting. The lighting around the kids is magic, but the gull doesn't need it - it might look more realistic if it was flying into darkness.
The bird is a prominent motif in your pics - is it representative of something special for you?

Very good concept and atmosphere but for me the dodging around the heads and the gull looks rather unnatural - it could be done as a single long ellipse in the upper sky.

Brilliant!
There are many great elements combined here.
There's the surf, sand, bird, golden light, and 2 kids, one of which seems to want to fly.
Composition, DOF, alternative lighting/processing, are all first rate. 7+
This looks almost like a dream.
