I like the closed eyes, it allows you take in the super shades, patterns and detail of his face, I think the B/W suits this partic ular shot as well, but would love to see the colour version

This is a great shot. Aside from the super subject, your tones are excellent. Did you chnage to B&W using Photoshop? Lighting is perfect as is your depth of field.
